Grand Theft Auto 5 has just received a brand new update, in the form of patch 1.17, which is titled Last Team Standing and brings a lot of different improvements to the game's GTA Online multiplayer mode, including fresh items, features, and the ability to use the Content Creator tool to make new Last Team Standing jobs.

Grand Theft Auto 5 came out over one year ago and right at the beginning of October 2013, Rockstar Games rolled out the GTA Online multiplayer mode as a free update, allowing all owners of the game access to the huge open world and its many different jobs or missions.

Since then, a large amount of updates have been launched for GTA 5, targeting its multiplayer mode by bringing new items, like guns, cars, bikes, weapons, clothing, or other customization items.

The Last Team Standing update is now available for download

Now, a fresh patch has just been released, in the form of the Last Team Standing update, which, as its name suggests, brings forth new things focusing on the popular Last Team Standing mode.

"The Last Team Standing Update introduces powerful weaponry, tactical gear, high-performance vehicles and all-new Creator features to celebrate Grand Theft Auto Online’s most high stakes mode. Today's update features 10 new Last Team Standing Jobs spread out across Los Santos and Blaine County plus additional gameplay changes to allow for a greater range of game types and enhanced matchmaking," Rockstar confirms on its Newswire about the fresh patch.

New guns and vehicles are available

Among the new items in the update are two guns, in the form of the heavy shotgun and the marksman rifle, both capable of unleashing doom upon your rivals across the game's many multiplayer game types.

Once the patch is installed, you can also get two new motorcycles, in the form of the Shitzu Hakuchou sports bike and the LCC Innovation chopper. A fresh sportscar, the Lampadati Furore GT, is also included in the update.

Existing mechanics have been improved

A series of improvements to the job voting or matchmaking systems are also a part of the patch, as Rockstar wants to prevent people from growing bored or frustrated in the online mode.

"Also part of today’s automatic update, we’ve now globally synchronized the Job voting screens, allowing us to merge sessions where players have voted on the same Job. This, combined with the on-call matchmaking introduced in a previous update allows players to find the Jobs they like more easily, and to stay with as many like-minded players as possible," the studio explains.

GTA 5 update 1.17 is now available for download on PS3 and Xbox 360, via the PSN and Xbox Live services.
