The first major expansion for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, the Havoc add-on, is now available for download across the Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms via the Xbox Live online service.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launched back in November of last year and impressed millions of franchise fans with its futuristic take on combat, adding plenty of fresh elements to the first-person shooter recipe used by the series so far.

The Havoc DLC is now available for download

Now, after bringing forth plenty of customization add-ons, developer Sledgehammer Games is rolling out the first proper DLC pack for Advanced Warfare, in the form of the Havoc add-on.

The new expansion is now available for download on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles, as Microsoft and Activision are continuing their timed exclusivity partnership in terms of Call of Duty add-ons.

The DLC is available via the Xbox Live Games store under the add-ons section and clocks in, as you can see in the image above, at 6.73GB. As of right now, it doesn't appear in the in-game store, as only past customization DLC packs are displayed, alongside the Season Pass.

The Havoc add-on for Advanced Warfare costs 15 USD/EUR, but those who own the aforementioned Season Pass get it for free.

The add-on includes plenty of new things

The expansion for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare brings forth a wide array of new things, starting with the Exo Zombies cooperative survival mode. The all-new experience stars four Hollywood actors, including John Malkovich, who try to survive against powerful zombies that can even use exosuits to gain an advantage.

Besides the co-op experience, the add-on includes four different maps for the competitive multiplayer, which should offer some more varied experiences to those who've gotten tired of the existing levels in the regular online mode.

Last but not least, there's the AE4 directed energy assault rifle, which also comes with a special variant called the AE4 Widowmaker.

The new add-on doesn't have a release date for the PC, PS3, or PS4 versions of Advanced Warfare but it's a safe bet that it will debut onto the other platforms in about a month, probably at the end of February or beginning of March.

Update: There's also a new update for Advanced Warfare on the Xbox One platform that weighs in at around 1.7GB so make sure you download that as well to actually be able to play on the new maps and in the new mode.
