Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has made available for download a new flavor of the Nokia Transit application for devices running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7.5 operating system, namely version 3.3.411.0.

The new app iteration is already available for download through the Windows Phone Store, although there are no details available on the changes that it was meant to bring along.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the application was designed to provide users with info on local public transport options, including bus, train, underground and the like.

The software can provide users with a variety of route options as soon as they enter a specific point of interest or location they want to arrive at.

“Nokia Transit shows you the route with a ‘glance and go’ interface. Pin a tile for your frequently used destinations to your home screen – one touch shows you the best route options, right now,” Nokia explains.
