The application comes with improvements for Living Images, other enhancements

An updated flavor of the Nokia Camera Beta application is now available for the owners of Windows Phone-based Lumia devices out there, namely version 4.8.0.1.

The new app iteration has been made official with a nice set of enhancements inside, among which better Living Images support, and more.

According to the release notes attached to this application flavor, users will enjoy enhanced Inline Video Playback in Camera Roll, as well as improved Living Images Playback.

Moreover, the new Nokia Camera Beta 4.8.0.1 has been made available for download with better Focus Indicator on devices with Continuous Autofocus.

Additionally, the updated mobile software arrives on handsets with various bug fixes and other improvements included.

The Beta variant of Nokia Camera was destined to provide users with the possibility to enjoy new features and functionality before a general rollout, though the app still includes a series of bugs that might affect user’s overall experience with it.

“Thanks for participating in our Beta program. You will get frequent updates with the latest features and improvements, but there could be bugs. You can help us improve the app by giving us feedback,” Microsoft notes in the app’s description.

Nokia Camera Beta is available for download through the Windows Phone Store, with support for all Windows Phone 8 and up devices.
