NoScript 2.4.9 is now available for download and it integrates two new features and a few improvements.
One of the new features relates to XSS (Cross-site scripting) protection. The new NoScript adds protection against error-based SQLI with a XSS payload. Also new is the ability to replace obsolete default whitelist entries.
Among the improvements and fixes added to NoScript 2.4.9, there is the replacing of browserid.org with persona.org in the default whitelist, better anti-DoS protection and enhanced usability with some HTML5 YouTube videos.
Additionally, the current version of the Firefox extension switches back to the old Ctrl+Shift+S keyboard shortcut for accessing the user interface and repaired the XML preprocessing breaking detection of some E4X constructs.
NoScript is an extension designed for Firefox and other Mozilla-based web browsers that can offer extra protection while browsing.
