The good folks over at Nimbuzz have just released a major update for their instant messenger application for BlackBerry devices. The latest version of Nimbuzz for BlackBerry comes packed with a handful of new features and some visual and under the hood improvements.

First of all, developers have added Persistent Group Chat, which allows users to enjoy group conversations with contacts. Furthermore, the registration flow with suggestions for user names has been made easier and more intuitive in case users don't find the one they want.

Last but not least, there are lots of UI improvements included as well, along with some file management enhancements and connectivity fixes.

You can now download Nimbuzz Messenger for BlackBerry 4.0 for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices running BlackBerry 4.5.0 and up.
