Nikon has released its latest firmware version A:1.21 / B:1.21, which is aimed at the 1 V1 Digital Camera. The firmware resolves an issue which occurred when the camera was turned on after attaching a lens.

So, the shooting display monitor or electronic viewfinder will not appear to move anymore.

This firmware update is compatible with all of Microsoft's operating systems, as well as the Macintosh OS X version 10.1.5 – 10.8.2.

If you already have the latest firmware version installed, you do not need to download this update.

So, before you think about upgrading or not, you need to check your firmware version by selecting the Setup Menu in the device's menu, and then the Firmware Version option that will show the A and B firmware versions.

If the firmware version on your device is not the latest, run the downloadable file to create a V1Update folder, in which you will find a V1_0121.bin file. Take that file, copy it on a formatted SD memory card, and insert the card into the camera's slot.

Afterwards, select the Firmware Version option from the camera's Setup Menu and follow the instructions on the screen.
