The folks at Facebook are pushing an update to their native iOS application, fixing a number of bugs reported by users since the previous update, including crashes when receiving push notifications, a problem where people would appear twice in Here Now on a Place view, and an issue that could cause the toolbar to not be shown on a Place view, to name some of the noteworthy fixes.

“Facebook for iPhone makes it easy to stay connected and share information with friends,” Facebook says.

“Use your iPhone to start a conversation with Facebook Chat, check your friends' latest photos and status updates, look up a phone number, or upload your own mobile photos to Facebook while on the go,” the app’s description goes over at the iTunes App Store.

Delving into the what’s-new for version 3.2.3, Facebook notes the following improvements and fixes:

- Improved, more streamlined login experience for developers using the Facebook SDK - Fixed a crash when receiving push notifications - Fixed a crash when navigating in Messages - Fixed inconsistent notification counts in notification bar and application badge - Fixed a problem where people would appear twice in Here Now on a Place view - Fixed a problem that could cause the toolbar to not be shown on a Place view

The developer asks users to note that the Places functionality is only available for users in the US for the time being.

“We're working on making this available in other countries soon,” the team at Facebook assures customers.
