Freeridecoding has just released BurnAgain FS version 1.2. The CD/DVD multisession burning application for Mac OS X enables users to change (modify) the content of their CD, as it mounts like a hard drive.

BurnAgain FS integrates with their Mac OS X Desktop and re-mounts the CD or DVD like a hard-disk volume directly in the Finder. Files can be added, removed, even edited and changed several times. The changes can be burned to the media at any time, with even the title of the disk being susceptible to changes.

Users can apply changes multiple times with CDR, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, and CDRW, without erasing, until the disk they are using is full. They can change the title of the disk prior to each burn and needn't worry about issues occurring when reading the discs on different platforms. While BurnAgain FS does automatically preserve special Mac file attributes, disks burned with the application are readable without additional software on any platform.

The latest version of BurnAgain FS improves interface and workflow. Handling of file permissions has also been kicked up a notch, while reliability has now been improved when renaming or moving a large number of files. Lastly, an option to disable the creation of AppleDouble files has been added.

The registered version of BurnAgain FS costs $15 to buy. Readers can download a free trial version to get a better idea of what the software can do. The trial version is good for 20 burns. Requirements include an Intel or PPC Mac, an Apple-supported Writer (internal/FW), and Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard).

Note: BurnAgain FS is known to be suffering from an issue that remounts a disc with zero KB available and nothing can be added to the disc. To solve this, just unmount and remount the disc.
