1Password, the popular password manager and form filler from Agile Web Solutions, has received a new update in less than a week since its latest revision, adding new features, as well as tweaks and fixes. The newest version of 1Password can always be found right here, on Softpedia.

Agile's 1Password integrates directly into modern web browsers, and sports built-in, anti-phishing and keylogger protection. Using the app, Mac owners can easily manage hundreds of passwords with one key. 1Password has been updated over a hundred times, with well over a thousand changes since its initial debut in 2006.

According to the release notes for 1Password 2.9.26, this is a maintenance release with several small fixes and improvements. Agile Web Solutions has added the Login to Customer Center item to the Help menu. The company notes that, “This is useful for finding your licenses and updating your email address. If your license is already installed, you will be logged in automatically.”

Other changes include updated copyright information in the About window, the ability to remove the Upgrade to 1Password 3 menu item from the Licenses window if a 1Password 3 license is already added, and functional Help > 1Password Help and other help buttons.

1Password for Mac OS X starts at $39.95 – Single User license. A Family license costs $59.95. The piece of software is licensed on a per-person basis (a single license can be used by one person on as many Macs as they can afford), in order to reduce the total cost of the ownership.

By using the links below, readers can update to the latest version, try out 1Password for free in demo mode, or buy a copy of the software. 1Password requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger) and iPhone OS 3.0 (for the iPhone / iPod touch version).
