14 DAY TRIAL // MSI has made available another BIOS package developed for its X79A-GD45 motherboard, namely version 2.4, which promises to improve the device’s overall performance.
If installed, the new BIOS will update the audio table, as well as the SATA Legacy ROM and UEFI driver version to 12.8.0.1016, and will enhance the device’s memory compatibility.
Bear in mind that if you consider applying this package, you must download and execute the file from a USB drive only. Moreover, do know that after the new BIOS has been installed, the system will reboot several times in order to update the ME firmware.
Furthermore, while the installation is in progress, make sure you don’t remove the USB drive from the system, shut down or restart the computer, or interfere with the process in any way. Doing so may lead to an update failure which could render your device unstable.
