Those Windows Phone users out there interested in making sure that their photos are safe and sound can now download Nero’s BackItUp mobile client for that.

The application was released as a photo backup solution for all Windows Phone 8 devices, allowing users to easily save images to Nero BackItUp online storage in a few simple steps.

Furthermore, the app also provides users with 5GB of free online storage, so that they can back up, stream, browse, and share files with their friends and family at all times.

“With the Nero BackItUp Windows Phone 8 app, have peace of mind knowing that no hardware failure or any other catastrophic event can compromise your valuable content,” the application’s description reads.

“You can set background backup, and your photos will be automatically backed up whenever your Windows Phone is plugged-in and on Wi-Fi.”

Moreover, the service enables users to back up content from an unlimited number of devices, including multiple PCs and Android devices.

All they need for that is a single account to Nero BackItUp online storage, from where files will be easily accessible anytime, anywhere, from any web browser.

Thus, users’ content will not be only safely stored in the cloud, but it will also be at their fingertips regardless of where they are or what device they are using.

“Millions of users trust Nero BackItUp to safeguard their digital life. Download now and experience the total digital peace of mind,” the company notes.

The application can be set to automatically back up photos when the Windows Phone handset is plugged in and is connected to a Wi-Fi network. The application also allows users to safeguard unlimited tablets and smartphones.

At the moment, Nero BackItUp is available on Windows Phone only in English. It can be found on this page in the official Windows Phone Store, up for grabs as version 1.0.0.0.
