Electronic Arts is offering the iPad installment of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit for a fraction of the normal selling price. Now available for just $0.99/€0.89, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit for iPad is optimized for iOS 6 and Retina displays.

In NFS Hot Pursuit players get to choose to side with the racers or the cops. As the Cop, you get to use roadblocks and spike strips, as well as EMP locks to fry the racers’ electrical system.

As a Racer, players get to make the getaway with overdrive, jamming, and oil slicks. The game includes supercars like the Pagani Zonda Cinque, and the Lamborghini Reventón.

As its name implies, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit for iPad is only compatible with tablets. The racing game requires iOS 4.2 to run. Newer devices will run the game better with newer versions of the iOS.
