NVIDIA updates its GeForce Beta 185 graphics drivers

Santa Clara, California-based graphics chip maker NVIDIA has rolled out today a new version of its GeForce graphics drivers, coming in the form of the Beta GeForce Release 185.68. As with all of the company's new driver releases, the new Beta version of the next-generation driver release 185 offers support for the company's latest GeForce products, including the recently launched GTX 275 GPU. In addition, upgrading to the
latest driver release will enable you to take advantage of the latest optimization for some of the available 3D applications, including the latest gaming titles.

 

Not to long ago, NVIDIA released the Beta version of its GeForce driver 185, thus enabling support for the company's highly anticipated GeForce GTX 275 GPU. In addition, the new driver release enabled a number of performance increases that weren't available with the company's previous WHQL-certified drivers, release 182. These performance increases include gaming titles such as Call of Duty: World at War, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, Crysis: Warhead, Fallout 3, Far Cry 2 and Mirror's Edge, which received a significant performance boost of 45%, with antialiasing enabled.

 

The latest Beta release of NVIDIA's next-generation GeForce 185.68 drivers, comes with support and an optimized performance for the latest The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena gaming application. With the latest driver release, users of GeForce 9-series, 100-series and 200-series of desktop GPUs will be able to fully enjoy the visual and gaming experience delivered by the latest Atari gaming title.

 

In addition to the support delivered for NVIDIA's latest graphics cards and the newest gaming applications, the latest GeForce driver release supports NVIDIA's GeForce Plus Power Pack #3 and offers a number of bug fixes.
