Minecraft Server, a program that packages the original .jar server available for Minecraft into a fully-fledged application for the Mac, has been released for download.
A free asset for anyone looking to deploy the Minecraft server as a native Mac app, Minecraft Server lets you kick things off simply by double clicking on its icon.
According to developer RAMPorts, the configuration files are stored in the same directory where you start the server. The latest release includes two changes, “updated server to Minecraft version 1.3.2;” and “edited working directory to application's location (place it in a folder).”
Minecraft is a popular game about placing blocks to build an entire world around you. The sandbox title features monsters that come out at night, and you need to make sure to build a shelter before that happens.
