Mojang’s popular building game Minecraft has received a minor update on iOS platforms, bringing Pocket Edition to version 0.3.3 on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

A universal app that works on all iDevices with iOS 4.3 installed, Minecraft - Pocket Edition goes the extra mile this week to bring gamers new elements of enjoyment, including new angry mobs (made of skeletons and spiders) and bow & arrow. Mojang has also included some bug fixes in this release, though no specifics are given.

For those who aren’t very familiar with Minecraft, the game lets you create the world around you using blocks.

You can build anything you can imagine in randomized worlds using several different kinds of blocks, invite friends to your world on a local wireless network, save multi-player worlds on your own device, and more.

“Imagine it, build it. Create worlds on the go with Minecraft - Pocket Edition,” says Mojang.
