After rolling out one major release and an incremental update in a one-week timeframe, Mojang is out with yet another OS X build of the massively-popular Minecraft.

This time around, Minecraft gamers aren’t treated to any goodies, but rather just a few fixes that address issues with the “Open to LAN” feature, incorrect positions of some particles, compatibility with 1.4.4 servers and various other gameplay hurdles reported by avid players.

According to Mojang, Minecraft 1.4.5 is “Mostly a client-side update, thus staying at protocol version 49 (1.4.4).”

As usual, the primitive-looking game only requires Java 1.6 or later and 1 GB of RAM. The demo version, downloadable for free via the link below, lasts 5 game days per world and has multiplayer restrictions.
