Microsoft recently ousted a game for iPhone and iPad users that didn’t get much attention in the media. And we’re here to fix that. Microsoft promises to give iOS gamers a title that will make them play their guts out.
“Play your guts out with the black tentacled creature, Lemmy! Tap your way to victory through the insides of professor Phluff,” says the maker of the Windows operating system.
Going by the screenshots (and the scant reviews out there) Tentacles: Enter the Dolphin is a decent puzzler that has players tap their way to victory through the insides of professor Phluff.
As the story goes, Lemmy “the black tentacled creature” ended up inside the mad scientist’s body in a freak accident. Now he has to “avoid tricky obstacles and surface hazards and face the reckless eyeball creatures.”
Eating eyes will help Lemmy recover his energy. Players are promised awesome boss fights and a top-down gameplay experience like no other.
3D-animated Vein, Intestine and Brain levels await gamers with dangers at every step, but also bonus pick-ups, achievements, and more. The game is localized for Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese.
The key features touted by Microsoft Corp. can be found below.
• Challenging 3D animated levels with tons of dangerous hazards
• Addictive game play with amazingly intuitive tap controls
• Awesome Boss Fights – Receive rewards for your skills
• Score Big – collect pick-ups and clear speed and damage challenges
• Achievements system
• Easy mode
Tentacles: Enter the Dolphin is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and requires iOS 4.2 or later.
The game hasn’t been optimized for the iPhone 5’s four-inch display. It costs $0.99/€0.79 and is immediately available for download from the Games section in Apple’s iOS App Store.
