Download Microsoft’s October 2012 Security Updates without Windows Update

It’s Patch Tuesday, so Microsoft rolled out a pack of updates for all Windows versions, trying not only to fix bugs, but also to patch security vulnerabilities that could put users and their data at risk.

As always, Windows users can get the updates via Windows Update, but those who do not want to rely on this built-in tool can download the Security Release ISO Image for October 2012.

This ISO image comprises all Microsoft’s security updates released today and comes with patches aimed at almost every Windows versions except for the upcoming 8.

Please keep in mind that it doesn’t contain security updates for any other Microsoft products, so for Office patches you still have to rely on the built-in Windows Update feature.
