14 DAY TRIAL // Along with the Release Preview flavor of Windows 8, Microsoft also made available for download the Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Express RC for the platform, the tool meant to provide developers with the possibility to easily come up with applications for the Metro interface.
The SDK arrives with Windows 8 SDK, Blend for Visual Studio, and project templates, and will work only on machines that are running under the new Windows 8 Release Preview.
The tool was designed to work on both x32 and x64 computers, and it requires a 1.6 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, 10 GB of available hard disk space and a DirectX 9-capable video card.
This is a pre-release version of the SDK, but should be followed by a gold flavor in the coming months, when Windows 8 becomes commercially available too.
