Microsoft has just released the first SP for SQL Server 2012
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 users behold! The Redmond-based technology giant has just released the first service pack aimed at this platform, so you can freely download it right now straight from Softpedia.Just like it’s the case with any other service pack released by Microsoft, this new download comes with cumulate updates and upgrades for all editions and service levels of SQL Server 2012. It comprises the SQL Server 2012 Cumulative Update 1 and Cumulative Update 2.
There are plenty of new things brought by Service Pack 1, including support for cross-cluster migration of AlwaysOn Availability Groups deployments to a new Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC) cluster. In addition, SP1 comes with a new type of XML index known as a Selective XML Index.
