Today, Microsoft made available for download a new flavor of its Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool, namely version 4.12.

The new release arrives as part of Redmond-based software giant’s monthly set of updates that is being pushed out every second Tuesday of the month, and is meant to offer detection and cleaning capabilities for various malware out there.

The anti-malware utility is currently available for download with support for computers running Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows Server 2003.

The tool is made available from Microsoft Update, Windows Update and the Microsoft Download Center, but it can also be downloaded separately. On Softpedia, it can be found on this page.
