Microsoft has made available for download the Microsoft Face SDK Beta, a new resource to provide mobile app developers with the possibility to come up with new, appealing software for Windows Phone devices.

Coming straight from Microsoft Research, this tool will provide developers with the latest face detection technologies that the Redmond-based company has developed.

The SDK arrives as proof of Microsoft’s commitment to enable Windows Phone developers to take advantage of the various features and capabilities that devices have to offer.

“The Microsoft Research Face SDK Beta for Windows Phone integrates the latest face technologies from Microsoft research teams. It provides state-of-the-art algorithms to process facial images such as face detection, alignment, tracking, and cartoon generation,” the software giant notes.

The latest Microsoft Face SDK Beta for Windows Phone arrives as version 2.0.1 and weighs 34.11 MB. The software is available for download from Softpedia via this link.
