MediaMonkey is on its way to a new stable release, as the developer offered a release candidate to version 4.0.3 of the application. The current build, 1476, takes care of only two problems, one affecting the ripping functionality while the other referred to queued download items.

Build 1476 for MediaMonkey 4.0.3 is now able to rip some specific CDs when “verify” option is enabled. The other fix was a regression from earlier builds and prevented you from cancelling download items from the queued list.

Earlier versions of the application dealt with more drastic issues that affected URL streaming in some cases, or failure to play certain WAV files. Also, data import should now work with iTunes and subscribing to podcasts from Firefox should no longer be a problem.
