In case you’re not pleased with the built-in Windows 8 Maps app and you’re looking for an alternative solution, here’s one that’s really worth a shot.

The so-called Maps App uses the Google Maps API, so it integrates almost the same feature package as the official Google service.

It comes with integrated business search results, while also providing drag support for maps, satellite imagery, earth and street view and detailed directions.

The good thing is that the Maps App is completely optimized for the touch, so you can use it on a touchscreen device with minimum effort. Of course, it boasts support for both x86 and x64 versions of Windows 8, but also for the ARM build running on Windows RT.
