The MEGA app for iOS devices is officially out. Available as a free download, the free app lets you upload your documents, photos, music and videos in a secure cloud storage service and access these files on any device with access to the MEGA network.

Users who are determined to store their entire digital lives in the MEGA cloud can upgrade their allowance (including bandwidth quota) by getting a Pro subscription for a monthly or yearly fee.

Subscriptions include €9.99 (US$10.99) per month and €99.99 (US$119.99) per year, for 500 GB of storage space and a bandwidth of one terabyte (1000 GB) per month. As with Apple’s iCloud and other cloud services, your subscription is renewed automatically if you don’t halt it.

What’s puzzling about the MEGA app description up on iTunes is that it focuses solely on telling you how to pay for the service.

Not a single word is said about the features, the interface, the benefits of using it on your iPhone or iPod touch. Which says a lot about its maker.

“You can switch off the automatic renewal of your MEGA Pro subscription no later than 24 hours before your next subscription payment is due via your iTunes account settings page,” reads the description.

“To manage your subscriptions, simply click on the App Store icon on your handset, sign in with your Apple ID at the bottom of the page (if you haven't already done so) and then click View ID,” it adds.

The MEGA iTunes page also includes links to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which users are advised to read through before using MEGA.

Granted, the screenshots do speak for themselves, and if you’re already familiar with the MEGA offerings, head over to the App Store and download MEGA on your iDevice right now.
