Capcom has released one of its most popular video games on the iOS platform, the old action-adventure title Mega Man. Deployed as MEGA MAN X on Apple’s iTunes App Store, the game comes with several new options and a five dollar price tag.

As noted by the developer, the game includes a number of ‘power-up’ features, such as support for the Retina display, a Full Mode to display the game in full screen, an “Easy” mode includes helpful modifications to make platforming a bit easier for beginners, and Game Center support.

There are 80 challenges in total, of which 60 are supported by Game Center, according to Capcom.

The game is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and iPod touch 3G onwards. iOS 4.3 or later is required to play the game. Capcom asks customers to note that iPod touch 8GB Model No. A1288 is not supported, that the game is not ‘validated’ for iPad play.
