Microsoft’s Lync Server 2010 Meeting Content Viewer just received a new update, aimed at fixing an issue related to archiving info.

The tool was made available to offer users the possibility to convert Lync Server 2010 meeting content into a viewable format.

According to Microsoft, the new release enables Archiving servers to archive additional information in Lync Server 2010.

The Meeting Content Viewer tool can be downloaded and installed on domain-joined Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2008 R2. It requires an HTML5-compliant browser to be installed (such as Internet Explorer 9, Firefox 10, or Safari 5).

“The computer on which you install the tool must have read-only access to the file share where Lync Server 2010 stores the archived conference content and metadata,” Microsoft explains.
