The fourth Release Candidate version of the upcoming Linux kernel 3.3 is available for download and testing, as Linus Torvalds announced a few hours ago, February 18th.

Linux kernel 3.3 RC4 fixes a floating point state issue that happens on 32-bit (x86) architecture.

It also includes lots or ARM fixes, network driver updates, XFS and eCryptfs updates, sha512 stack usage fixes, and much more.

"So -rc4 also does various other things, like remove the old stale gma500 staging driver that got properly merged. Or remove the old pohmelfs staging code, since that will get a complete rewrite."

"Or if you're not interested in the big patches, but in the small ones that actually matter to you, try to find them in the shortlog below." - said Linus Torvalds in the announcement.

Download Linux Kernel 3.3 RC4 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it is intended for testing purposes only.
