Peer-to-peer file-sharing app for Mac OS X

LimeWire X fans have a new beta version of the software to download and try out, according to the people at Gnutella Network. Version 5.2.0 Beta delivers over a dozen fixes and improvements, as well as new additions, such as Advanced filters and a reintroduced Browse Host in Uploads.

According to the release notes for Limewire X 5.2.0 Beta, the developers have updated the download tray, introduced Advanced filters and reintroduced Browse Host in Uploads, while throwing in the option to lift limits off the number of downloads for a Friend. The changelog continues to reveal that support for moving completed torrents to the Completed Files directory has been added in the latest LimeWire X beta, along with the addition of new file extensions to Documents, hyperlink to translation page from Options page and file size to View File Info box.

Gnutella Network also claims to have performed a “general code clean up” on LimeWire X, by removing unused imports, adding @Override annotation and better exceptions. The new version of the P2P file-sharing client also includes updated translations, although the changelog doesn't mention any specific languages. As for the bug fixes delivered in LimeWire X 5.2.0 Beta, they are listed below:

· Fixed a mouse movement bug, which caused search results to move. · Fixed a bug found through the forums in which "Block Address" placed obfuscated IP addresses in the Block Hosts list instead of the IP addresses they represent. · Fixed failing test cases.
