Leshcat, a young Linux IT administrator from Belarus, released his own public beta driver for AMD's Catalyst 13.3 Beta 3. His version of the Catalyst includes ATi Graphic Driver 12.100.17.0000, Intel HD Graphics Legacy 15.22.58.2993 and Modern 15.28.12.64.2932 and the optional ATi HDMI audio driver 7.12.0.7714 or 8.0.0.8811 for Windows 7 or 8.

All those numbers are summed up as the “Main Changelog.” There is, however, a minor changelog that doesn't imply so many numbers. In fact, it says only “Added Reported Proper Values.”

Users have downloaded, installed and tried out the modded release. As it turns out, the improvements are visible and those who use this driver showed their respect to the maker.

On the other hand, some have stumbled upon issues varying from BSOD on Windows 8 startup to the inability of GPU overclocking using MSI Afterburner.

Leshcat's release will work only with Windows 7 and 8, on a 64bit architecture.
