LastPass 2.0 has been released and, since this is a major version of the application, new features were in order. Besides novelties, this update integrates improvements and fixes.

The new version brings to the table support for attachments (documents, images, etc) in secure notes. Their security is not an issue because everything is encrypted locally, just like in the case of passwords.

Other new features refer to LastPass vault, which now combines the functionality of the offline location with the online one. Also, US customers get free credit monitoring and sites labeled as “favorite” will appear higher in the auto-fill list.

Improvements in the new revision touch in the upgrade process in Internet Explorer, which is now silent and bookmarklets use a few layers of iFrames for increased security against the page you're running the Bookmarklet in.
