Today, KMPlayer received an update to version 3.6. Although this is not a major release, the developer included a few new features along with bug fixes.

The fresh revision includes Instant View and HTTPS (HTTP Secure) streaming function. Also new is the subtitle resync function using keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Alt+] and Ctrl+Alt+[.

The developer improved the seek speed in the case of MKV, MP4 and FLV media containers and modified the default use of Internal Splitter (AVI) for streaming via HTTP, HTTPS and FTP.

Repairs available in this build include plugging a vulnerability that could have led to a denial of service attack. There are no records of abuse of this flaw in the wild, as the fix came as a result of a proof of concept (PoC).

KMPlayer 3.6.0.85 also fixes TS source filter error and supports FTP server.
