Infinity Blade fans have a brand new content update to download this week, featuring an exciting new quest which involves a trip to the Metius Observatory to face a deadly enemy.

Dubbed “Soul Hunter,” Infinity Blade III version 1.1 is a free-to-download content update from the iTunes App Store for all existing players.

It includes a new quest which takes players to an all-new location where they must face off a fierce enemy.

Chair Entertainment, the development team behind the visually stunning Infinity Blade series, says you will “Travel to the Metius Observatory to face the Deathless Bloodmage known as Oslim, on your quest to hunt down the missing Infinity Weapons.”

Both Isa and Siris get over a dozen new items, including magic rings, weapons, shields, helmets, and armors. You’ll need to collect all of these to succeed in your quest, but also to sell them when necessary.

A new Explore feature has been included. As an avid player of the game, you can guess what it’s for: to return to areas you’ve already covered to squeeze out some additional loot and XP by hacking and slashing around.

Three new Goals are available, along with some additional Goal tiers. A new ClashMob mode with Trials is included, and a Halloween-themed Helm is available for Isa and Siris.

The rest of the update unfolds under-the-hood, where Chair has made compatibility tweaks so that the game runs smooth on both iOS 6 and iOS 7. The company recommends that you play it on the latest version.

Some adjustments have been made to potion, gem, and forge times. Users also asked for more time to completing quests, and Chair ceded to those requests, extending the allotted time for a mission.

Players can now buy additional slots in the Gem, Potion, and Item Upgrade Forges, and for those of you who hate watching the end cinematic, credits and tutorial, you can now skip them.

Owners of the latest iPads will experience a visual thrill, “featuring full screen anti-aliasing, bloom, full screen vignettes, distortion, high resolution shadows, and environmental reflections,” according to the release notes. Several balancing tweaks have been made as well.

Download Infinity Blade III for your iOS device and be sure to reboot after installation, to avoid crashes and freezes.
