Epic Games and ChAIR Entertainment have released Infinity Blade II, the sequel to the hugely popular Infinity Blade that showed what was possible with the A4 CPU on the iPad. Infinity Blade II takes action to a whole new level on the A5 dual-core CPU, powered by Epic’s cutting-edge Unreal Engine 3 technology.

Raising the bar yet again for AAA gaming on mobile platforms, Infinity Blade II has players “Journey into the world of the Deathless tyrants and their legion of Titans. Build skills and upgrade characters… all while delving deeper into this mysterious, timeless adventure.”

There’s a new story to be had in the robust and dynamic 3D world that fans have come to expect, and there will be three new styles of combat to master.

Character customization has evolved as well, and you can forge even more powerful weapons now using mystical objects that you collect along your journey. Naturally you have to discover them first.

Chair Entertainment calls Infinity Blade II “the definitive visual experience in mobile gaming, complete with all-new iCloud support and HDMI output.”

The title supports iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad, iPad 2, iPod Touch 3 (16 GB and above), or iPod touch 4th gen.

However, fans should know that the sequel has been optimized for iPhone 4S and iPad 2, both of which have the A5 chip inside with powerful graphics capabilities.

Chair says “[Infinity Blade II] Includes high-resolution graphics and lighting that utilize the enhanced visual capabilities of the iPhone 4S and iPad 2.”

The developers also recommend that you play the game on iOS 5. In-app purchases can be turned off via the parental controls. The game costs $6.99 (5,49 €) and is rated 9+.
