14 DAY TRIAL // The immensely popular IM+ instant messaging app for iOS is getting a leg up in version 7.7 with Beep mobile-to-mobile messaging available as a lovely in-app purchase.
Some Apple customers may not be all that fond of in-app purchases, especially parents who sometimes have to report their kids for fraud just to get a refund.
But those are exceptions. In reality, in-app purchases are really a very useful mechanism if you want to add some extra functionality to a free app, such as the one we’re here to talk about today.
IM+ 7.7 delivers Beep mobile-to-mobile messaging service. Developer SHAPE GmbH doesn’t disclose the price yet, but it can’t be anything over two bucks. Other in-app purchases are also available, such as to eliminate those nasty ads that keep popping up, or Off-the-Record messaging.
Also new in version 7.7 is the ability to see a preview of transferred images in chats. You also get the option to capture image/video with camera on your iPad.
