Hulu Plus now offers support for the Google Chromecast TV experience, allowing owners of any iOS 6 device to “cast” their favorite movies and TV shows from the comfort of their iPad.

Version 3.3 reportedly allows you to “Start casting your favorite TV shows and Movies on Google Chromecast from Hulu Plus on your iPad (iPad2 / iOS6 and above).”

iPhone Chromecast support will soon follow, and the 3.3 update also includes some bug fixes (both for iPhone and for iPad users).

Hulu says on its blog, “Now you can easily enjoy your favorite shows, such as ‘Modern Family,’ ‘New Girl’ and ‘Parks and Recreation,’ on your big-screen TV by casting from Hulu Plus on your mobile phone or tablet. It’s the same intuitive, remote-free experience you’ve come to enjoy with the other Chromecast-supported apps, and is as simple as pressing the Cast button which will now appear in the app.”

The requirements for Hulu Plus seemingly haven’t changed, as iTunes still lists iOS 5 as the latest version of the OS that supports Hulu Plus. However, that requirements list sometimes isn’t very reliable.
