SurfRight, makers of HitmanPro security solution, released version 2.0.8 stable for HitmanPro.Alert (free of charge), a product designed to constantly check browser integrity and alert the user when it is not safe to enter sensitive information.

According to the developer, the detection algorithm powering HitmanPro.Alert can recognize the various techniques used by malware to intercept details exchanged through the web browser.

Basically, the application flags man-in-the-browser (MitB) threats that hook into the core operating system and sit between the OS and the browser, thus being able to intercept financial details before they can be encrypted and sent.

HitmanPro.Alert can inform when system functions are redirected to untrusted programs and works alongside other security solutions with no compatibility issues. It supports all web browsers (including portable versions) and does not rely on malware signatures to alert of malicious activity.
