The High Resolution Windows Vista Desktop Wallpaper Pack has been made available for download by Hamad Darwish, an amateur photographer from Kuwait that was commissioned by Microsoft to do a photoshoot for Windows Vista. A total of five images have been selected by the Redmond Company to become a part of the Windows Vista default wallpapers. But Hamad has shoot over 6,000 pictures, and out of those he selected 15, from which Microsoft picked the final five.

Recently, Hamad has posted on his website a total of 22 pictures taken for Windows Vista. "A photo collection of the images taken during Microsoft's Windows Vista photoshoot and did not make the cut into Vista's Wallpaper Collection," is the way he describes the downloads. Hamad is providing two downloads of the High Resolution Windows Vista Desktop Wallpaper Pack. All the images are 1920x1200 and they can be downloaded from here.

I have contacted Hamad a while back and he has agreed to an interview with Softpedia. Currently, this interview is in the works and I hope to be able to deliver you with Hamad's perspective on the work he has done for Windows Vista as soon as possible.

As his images will become ubiquitous with the adoption of Windows Vista you will become increasingly familiar with Hamad's work. Additionally, you will be able to feast your eyes on more of Hamad's photographs on Flickr. And it is via Flickr that Hamad was approached by Microsoft for the Windows Vista photoshoot.
