PC Tools announced the launch of the 2009 suite of its security solutions. Along with Internet Security 2009, the company officially released Spyware Doctor and Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus 6, Registry Mechanic 8 and Desktop Maestro 3. Internet Security 2009 offers an enhanced protection against spyware, viruses, spam and also comes with a firewall. Spyware Doctor is one of the technologies most awarded of its type by technical magazines, thanks to its capacities to detect and eliminate all known spyware threats.

The company assures its clients that both Internet Security 2009 and Spyware Doctor 6 can clean up even the computers that are considerably infected with malicious software, without using resources that could slow down the system. The Behavior Guard, used to block newest threats, that go unfiltered by other security solutions, is only available for registered users. Internet Security 2009 also offers, optionally, a toolbar that displays the threat levels of various websites. The Internet protection tool has a price tag of $59.95, but its trial version can be downloaded for free. Also, people who want to secure their computers against the latest threats can acquire Spyware Doctor 6 for $29.95.

The other two features in the 2009 suite are Registry Mechanic 8 and Desktop Maestro 3. Users can rely on the former in order to "safely clean, repair and optimize the Windows registry with a few simple mouse clicks." Keeping in mind that the current price dropped $10, to $19.95, buying Registry Mechanic really seems a good deal. The same applies to Desktop Maestro as well, which cleans hidden data and everything referring to PC usage that is stocked in registers. At this point, users who decide to acquire the tool benefit from a $20 discount, having to pay only $9.95.

"The 2009 range of products will provide consumers with a more efficient and more sophisticated level of protection against Internet security threats and more advanced tools to optimize and improve the performance of their PCs," said Simon Clausen, Chief Executive Officer, PC Tools. "Consumers can also expect an improved level of usability and functionality which our security and computer optimization products are already known to provide, as well as maintaining a minimum level of system resource usage", Clausen added.

Internet Security 2009, Spyware Doctor 6, Registry Mechanic 8 and Desktop Maestro 3 have all been tested in the Softpedia labs and can be safely downloaded from our website.
