Developers and professionals interested in learning more on autoscaling, transient fault handling and logging in Windows Azure can now download a set of Hands-on Labs to get started. We’re referring here to the set of Hands-on Labs for Microsoft Enterprise Library 5.0 Integration Pack for Windows Azure that Microsoft made available for download only a few days ago. As stated above, the labs include autoscaling and transient fault handling as well.
Before downloading it, however, they should know that the Windows Azure Tools for Visual Studio and Windows Azure SDK v1.6 is required. To grab the all-in-one installer, they should simply hit

The Hands-on Labs is compatible with Windows 7 Professional or higher, 32-bit and 64-bit and with Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Service Pack 2.
Moreover, the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Development System with Service Pack 1 (any edition) should be installed on the target machine as well.
“The Microsoft Enterprise Library Integration Pack for Windows Azure is an extension to Microsoft Enterprise Library 5.0 that can be used with the Windows Azure,” Microsoft explains.
“It includes the Autoscaling Application Block ("Wasabi"), Transient Fault Handling Application Block ("Topaz"), blob configuration source, protected configuration provider, and Windows PowerShell Cmdlets.
“Use this set of Hands-on Labs as a guide to learn and practice autoscaling, transient fault handling and logging in Windows Azure,” the company continues.
To install the Hands-on Labs, you will simply have to run the .EXE. Before kicking off the installation process, you will also have to make sure that all the pre-requisite steps have been performed, as outlined in the Pre-requisites and Setup document.
It should also be noted that the before and after source code and instructions have been provided for each of the included labs.
