Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has just made an updated version of their HTC Sync application available, one that comes with support for all Android devices from the company.

Apparently, the addition of support for all Android smartphones from the company, including HTC Sensation & HTC Smart, was the main enhancement the new software came with.

“This software is suitable for the following devices : HTC Sensation, HTC Incredible S, HTC Desire S, HTC Gratia, HTC Desire HD, HTC Wildfire, HTC Desire, HTC Legend, HTC Smart, HTC Tattoo, HTC Hero (Android 2.1), HTC Hero, HTC Magic, HTC Desire Z,” HTC notes on its support website.

The application can be used for syncing various files between the mobile phone and the desktop PC at home, as well as for installing various applications on the mobile phone, straight from the computer.

“You can use HTC Sync to synchronize Outlook contacts and calendar or Outlook Express contacts (Android & HTC Smart)and the bookmarks of web browser between your computer and your phone(Android),” the handset vendor explains.

“It also lets you install third-party Android applications on the phone, and bring your photos, videos, documents, songs, and playlists to your phone(Android).”

To install the new application, users will need to have a PC with an Intel Pentium III or higher processor, at least 1GB of RAM, 60 MB of available free hard disk space, USB ports, and XGA (1024 x 768) or higher-resolution video adapter.

The application is compatible with machines running under Microsoft's Windows XP, Vista and Widnows 7 operating systems, and needs Microsoft Office Outlook 2000, XP, 2003, 2007 and 2010-32bit to run.

After downloading and installing the application, users will need to connect their handsets to the desktop PC using the USB cable. When prompted to choose a type of connection, they should select HTC Sync.
