Not for free...

Looks like Sony is not just sitting around and strikes back at Nintendo's Virtual Console with two new additions. GripShift and Jumping Flash have been released over the PlayStation store and are now available for download (not for free, unfortunately).

These games are not exactly counterparts to Virtual Console games because you have to download them onto your PS3's hard drive and then transfer them onto your PSP. You know that Gripshift was originally designed as a PSP game, but I'm curious to see how they remapped the controls corresponding to L2 and R2 for PSP Jumping Flash. If you are interested, know that GripShift costs US$ 9.99 to download and Jumping Flash goes for US$ 5.99.

GripShift is a hybrid title video game developed by Sidhe Interactive and published by Sony Online Entertainment. It was released for the PSP back in 2005, and it's a combination of genres, starting with puzzle, platformer and continuing with driving and action. You might remember that Jumping Flash is a 3D Platform game from Sony Computer Entertainment which features a rabbit-like robot, called Robbit. As Robbit, you have to find and collect the Jetpods dispersed throughout the game's levels. Most of the enemies present in the game are animal-like creatures. The title is partially a play on the famous Rolling Stones song Jumping Jack Flash.

On top of this, Sony has also resealed two trailers, one for Blood Diamond ( Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Connelly) and the other for The Good German (it stars George Clooney-if any of you girls are interested).
