GraphicConverter, touted as being the equivalent of a "Swiss penknife," is a universal genius for photo editing on the Mac, according to its makers. The newest version of the software delivers tons of new features and enhancements, making it a must-download for existing users, and newcomers alike.

The company mentions key features like the ability to import roughly 200 graphic formats (importing supports around 80 file types), picture import directly from the camera (also RAW), picture organization & workflow management, batch conversion, AppleScript – support, an express picture enhancement function coupled with basic and advanced functions for editing pictures, a Photoshop-compatible plug-in architecture, and support for pretty much every Macintosh model and Mac OS X version.

However, all this was until GraphicConverter 6.7 came to light. According to Lemkesoft, newly added functionality includes: scrap file import; HMR import; dm2 and dm3 import (updated with complete display of the metadata of dm3); a quick option to the context menu to show the browser with and without raws; multiple find and replace of iptc data; direct SVG via PDF import (Image Magick is no longer required as helper); an option to draw rectangles, ovales, etc. filled with background color and framed with foreground color; an AppleScript command “search with spotlight;” support for gamma aware scaling; and a WMF to vector PDF batch function.

A number of existing features have been updated as well. Those include HD Photo import support for grayscale images, high-quality interpolation for reduction when saving content for web, and tons more.
