Google has quietly updated its application store, though there are few details on the changes included for the moment. Formerly known as Android Market, Play Store now features almost half a million apps and games, perhaps even more.

The new build version 3.5.19 is now available for download OTA (over the air) to all Android users. Unfortunately, Google has yet to reveal what are the improvements and fixes included with this update.

However, reports from users confirm that the application is now much snappier and smoother, but other than that there’s nothing else to add.

It’s likely that some performance improvements have been included along with overall stability enhancements, though these have yet to be confirmed.

Google Play store app should automatically update to version 3.5.19, but those who prefer to do it manually can download it via Softpedia.
