Google Play Books is another Android application that has seen an update this week, as Google has started to deliver a new experience to owners of devices running under its own mobile operating system, and is now available for download as version 2.8.61.

The new release provides support for reading users’ own PDF or EPUB files, and also allows owners of Android devices to upload files through Google’s portal and read them on all of their devices.

The app also comes with a refreshed design, which includes a new library and Table Of Contents view, as well as an updated recommendation page at the end of books.

The software also sports a confirmation dialog to prevent you from accidentally un-downloading a book, and also includes a variety of stability and performance improvements.
