14 DAY TRIAL // The search company whose services we all use on our phones and computers, Google, unveiled this week Google Play Books 1.5, an update to the iOS app for reading millions of titles from Google Play on your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad.
Google Play Books version 1.5 brings “substantial improvements in performance and stability,” according to Google.
Users can now tap and hold on a place name to see the description and a map of the place in flowing text mode, and there’s a user guide book in everyone’s library containing information about features offered in the app.
Users get support for Fixed Layout EPUB books, as well as support for Japanese vertical layout flowing text books.
Google Play Books is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad, and requires iOS 6.0 or later.
