The universally-designed Google Play Books for iPhone and iPad has been promoted to version 1.3.0 which brings many new features in flowing text mode, Google has announced.

Users of the e-reading app can now bookmark a page by tapping the top right corner, touch and hold to select some text (including with color), add a private note, sync highlights and notes with Google Play web reader and other iOS devices, translate selected text into over 50 languages, look up the definition of a selected word, and search for selected text in Wikipedia, with Google or in the book.

Additionally, there’s a brand new +1 button that lets users share the titles of their favorite books with the rest of the world. A grid view has been implemented for the library, along with some bug fixes.
