Owners of Android-based mobile phones can now download and install on their devices a new flavor of Street View on Google Maps.

With Google Maps Street View, users can easily explore the world at a street level, regardless of whether it’s their hometown or a faraway location.

The latest version of the application is 1.7.2.0, now available for download through the Google Play Store with support for all devices running under Android 2.1 or newer.

One of the notable changes in this release is the availability of an action bar for devices with Android 4.0 or higher.

Moreover, the new app flavor is accompanied by the launch of Google Maps Street View in South Korea and Russia.

You can download Google Maps Street View from the official Android application storefront. To launch the software, just search for a place or long-press the map to have the Street View option appear.
