Google has launched the official Chrome client for iOS platforms, featuring the same interface of Chrome for Android, the ability to sync bookmarks, passwords and visited pages, unlimited tabs, incognito mode, Omnibox, and Google Voice Search integration.
“Browse fast with Chrome, now available on your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad,” reads the official description. “Sign in to sync your personalised Chrome experience from your computer and take it with you anywhere you go.”
“Search and navigate fast, directly from the same box. Choose from results that appear as you type,” says Google.
“Open and quickly switch between an unlimited number of tabs. On your iPhone and iPod touch, flip through tabs the way you would fan a deck of cards. On the iPad, swipe from edge to edge to switch tabs,” it adds.
Users can instantly sync their open tabs, bookmarks, passwords and omnibox data from their computer to their iPhone, iPod touch or iPad by simply signing in to Chrome.
The browser also lets users send pages from Chrome on their computer to their iPhone, iPod touch or iPad even when offline, and Incognito lets them browse without saving history, keeping their surfing habits privy.
Chrome iOS is localized in dozens of languages, including English, Amharic, Arabic, Bengali, Bokmål, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Gujarati, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malay, Malayalam, Marathi, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Tamil, Tegulu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.
The application is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 4.3 or later. The app is universal, meaning you only need to perform a single download for both iPhone and iPad. Download Chrome for iPhone and iPad (Free)
